A report titled “Until the Danger Ceases” sent information requests to child welfare offices across the United Kingdom.

Data from one hundred thirty-five municipal councils indicated that out of two thousand three hundred thirty-five minors identified as having been victimized or believed to be trafficking victims, 864 (thirty-seven percent) were listed as disappeared.

Overall 141 municipal councils responded to questions about unaccompanied minor refugees in their care, who amounted to 11,999 children. Of these, 1,501 (13%) were recorded as vanished.

High Risk for Endangered Children

The report, published by non-profit organizations, alerts that these categories are at “extremely elevated danger” of disappearing from care.

Several exploited minors in the UK are UK nationals while the remainder are from overseas.
