The former Liverpool manager admits rejoining to coach Liverpool is theoretically possible.
Jurgen Klopp, who stepped down from Liverpool in 2024, has suggested that returning someday is a possibility. Klopp, after a transformative nine-year spell that included Champions League success and the Premier League crown in 30 years, currently occupies positions overseeing worldwide football for Red Bull and in an advisory capacity for the DFL.
Supporters’ Hopes and Klopp’s Candid Remarks
They secured England's top flight last season, but many fans who adore the manager would embrace the idea of his potential comeback. In a wide-ranging interview, he explained to his interviewer: “I declared I will never coach a different club in England. Which implies in case it's my former club...absolutely. It's plausible.”
“At 58 years old, that means I could make the decision down the line, it's uncertain. Do I have to make the decision today? Then I will not coach again. Luckily, I don’t have to do that. I can just see what lies ahead.”
Conditions for a Comeback
Questioned regarding what circumstances would need to occur to draw him back to the touchline, Klopp admitted he isn't eager to such a return. “I don’t even know exactly, My present work fulfills me,” he said. “I don't crave being a coach; I avoid standing in the rain through long matches; I'm glad to skip media briefings multiple times weekly or doing numerous chats each week.
“The locker room isn't missed as a dressing room, yet sharing a meal with the team having a nice chat, is pleasant. Success was frequent thus frequently positive atmosphere at the club. I can still hear Virgil [Van Dijk’s] laugh in my ear to illustrate.”

Klopp was full of praise for his successor, praising him for the tweaks that took the title in the previous season. The team has suffered a string of losses in every contest following significant transfers, though he denied the idea it could be a slump.
